DRY DOCKING ARRANGEMENT/SUPERVISION

Our on of the main activities is arrangement of dry docking named as "COMPOSITE REPAIR SCHEME" is becoming most popular which ultimately proved to be most competitive. Upon success of above mentioned composite repair schemes utilizing local dry dock and private workshop facility in most effective manner which ultimately proved to be most cost effective around the world.

The total composite repair scheme was split into three phases as follows :

1. Pre-docking repairs by flying squad.

By flying repair team aboardship, prior docking, who carried out deck repairs with vessel at sea/cargo on board. By the time vessel entered dock, almost all external work on deck, like repairs of hatch coamings, stays, guard rails, bulwarks, closing appliances, winch base and mast house works had been completed under our supervision.

Dry Docking : as dock charges are high in almost all yards. W.M.S planned to keep the vessel in dock for minimum possible period and effected only underwater works/inspection etc. to cut down costs under continuos supervision.

Post - docking repairs afloat W.M.S. carried out extensive repairs/maintenance work including deck/shell plate renewal under the supervision of their superintendent and of course under the guidance/recommendation of class surveyor. Sufficient manpower were simultaneously engaged for dry dock repair charges.

Following comparison table shows the quoted repair price of various dockyards both abroad/home against above mentioned composite repair scheme as effected by owners through pre-docking, docking and post - docking repairs employing Chittagong Dry Dock Ltd. and local workshops. Please see the attached Chart.

Upon success of above - mentioned ‘composite repair scheme’ utilizing local dry - dock/workshop facility in most effective manner. We have successfully completed total six vessel’s repair & dry docking work of over $2m. Various ship owners have already shown their interest in this scheme. A Singapore flag vessel is presently undergoing similar scheme at Chittagong. An Egyptian owner and few other Indian owners are presently in the queue for undergoing similar scheme.

We provide consultancy services regarding repairs, installation and maintenance jobs.

We are sending competent officers and crew for all departments to serve on board ships owned by Blue Ocean Lines Ltd., & Sea Pearl Lines Ltd., Chittagong, Dilmun Shipping Company, Bahrain and Shipping Corporation of Saudi Arabia Ltd., Jeddah.

The large scrap yard in Chittagong provides many types of good condition machinery spares at a very low competitive price. We export all items of spare parts and complete machines as per requirement, having checked by our engineers and overhauled, if necessary.
